Nova Systems Geospatial will support the New South Wales Rural Fire Service (RFS) as a long-term partner providing geospatial services crucial to modern fire prevention and management.
Geospatial applications provide emergency services with information and intelligence through mapping, data and visualisation to enable a better understanding of fires, their contributing factors and risks.
Nova Systems Geospatial (previously Geoplex) has partnered with RFS on several significant projects such as the Australian Fire Danger Rating System (AFDRS), Smoke Modelling System and the Airborne Intelligence Gathering system.
These tools and features are now integrated into RFS operations and are vital in how the RFS approaches prevention, management and keeping the community safe.
