Firefighting boots are exposed to extreme situations on a daily basis. When things have to move fast, the new FIRE EAGLE 2.0 by HAIX is ready for action in an instant.
With the RapidFit system, HAIX has developed a new quick-release fastener: the system can be individually adjusted and enables lightning-fast tightening with just one hand movement. The RapidFit system automatically holds the lacing in place after tightening. The wider, ergonomic grip facilitates closing. Experts at HAIX have relied on the experience and feedback of firefighters to optimize these details. Like its predecessor, the FIRE EAGLE 2.0 is characterized by its extremely low weight of around 1000 grams per shoe and a sporty fit.
Other new features of the FIRE EAGLE 2.0 include an RFID pocket that provides space for an RFID chip for digital management of PPE and a new plastic overcap that provides even better protection against abrasion in the toe area. The new instep protector has a smooth surface without openings. The upgraded protective element of the instep has many new benefits: the new shape is easier to clean and protects the laces from damage.
Attention to detail: high-tech laces
The new high-tech laces with specially adapted eyelets, which are used as standard in the FIRE EAGLE 2.0, show just how much development work and innovative power HAIX puts into every single detail. Anyone who touches the new shoelaces will immediately feel that they are different from normal ones. They feel stiffer, almost wiry.
HAIX sought out an expert partner for the new development of the high-tech laces: Teufelberger is a company that specialises in ropes, from steel ropes for ropeways to synthetic fibre ropes for sailing and ropes for fall protection. After all, shoelaces are basically also a kind of rope. The interaction of rope and shoe technology has allowed us to optimize the tear and abrasion resistance of the laces.
For those with an affinity for numbers, the tests in the HAIX laboratory result in a tear strength of 2,000 Newtons. In the abrasion test, the machine stops automatically after more than one million cycles and does not count any further. A ‘normal’ high-quality shoelace only manages up to 300,000 cycles in this test.

Highest requirements 100% Made in Europe
Like all HAIX products, the FIRE EAGLE 2.0 is manufactured exclusively in Europe. To this end, the company operates modern production facilities in Germany and Croatia, where HAIX can precisely control working conditions and product quality to enforce the highest standards. Because ‘Made in Europe’ is not just a promise of quality at HAIX. It is also a commitment to fair working conditions, greater sustainability and European values.
With its wide range of products, HAIX is pursuing one goal above all: to protect heroines and heroes so that they can concentrate fully on their tasks in the field.
