Here at Reacton Fire Suppression, we are delighted to announce the appointment of Ed Chivers as Global Product and Certification Director.
Since joining the business in 2016, Ed has been instrumental in Reacton’s achievement of world-class product accreditations and approvals. Leading the charge to test our systems to meet the stringent demands of some of the most rigorous third-party standards in the industry.
Notably, our achievement of P-Mark SPCR199 standard means that Reacton is currently the only company in the world able to offer an accredited fire suppression system that meets the stringent requirements demanded by the heavy equipment market. Ed has worked tirelessly with the whole team to ensure Reacton receives the highest scores possible, classifying our systems as A+.
Ed has now been involved in the fire industry for over 19 years, with previous roles of General Manager, European Sales Manager, Technical Manager and Design Engineer, accomplishing invaluable experience in all aspects of fire protection.
The result of working with many large OEMs enables Ed to achieve a high profile within the industry and to be well respected by distributors and colleagues globally.
During Ed’s career, his ideas have contributed to the on-going development of fire suppression products and markets. He has helped produce industry-related documents, articles and sales tools whilst having trained many companies worldwide.
Ed is an active member of the Working Group Gases for the Fire Industry Association (FIA) with an additional contribution through various Task Groups and Specialist Interest Groups.
Outside of his professional work, Ed is extremely social and rarely sat still. He has a large and close friendship group who enjoy sharing snowboarding, travel and active holidays. An avid motorsports and F1 fan, Ed is a regular at the gym and a big music fan.
